The mouth of the Lord declared it emphatically in verse 4 of the text, ‘Since you are precious in my sight, and honoured in my sight, and because I love you. What is precious? Something of high value, respected, treated with much reference and not comparable. The four verses mentioned the name Jacob/Israel, but you should realise that it refers to you also as the Israel of today. These prayers are nedded in the morning.
These verses show God’s great love for us with great assurance that He will always be with us, irrespective of the circumstances, because we are precious to Him. No wonder Moses pleaded that God’s presence should accompany him and the Israelites in their journey from Egypt to the promised land (Exodus 33:13-18).
Introduction
God considered the three Hebrews in Babylon precious to Him because of their steadfastness to worship and serve Him alone (Daniel 3:14-21). He was with them in the fiery furnace and suspended the power of fire to consume them because they are precious (Daniel 3:23-27). Prayers

Things that are precious to us are well taken care of regarding protection, guidance, and wise use. Thieves are prevented from precious things and ones, amongst others, by humans. How much more God, who has good thoughts towards us (usJeremiah 29:111). His thoughts towards the precious ones are revealed in Isaiah 43:2-4.
Rumination 1
Ithe strange waters of life, God promised to be with you, rivers will not overflow you, and strange fire will not burn you. See yourself in the light of this truth as you believe His words as the Israel of today. Why all these benefits? Simply, it is because you are Precious before God, especially when you have given your life to Christ Jesus (Zechariah 2:8; 1 Peter 2:9). You need to be SAVED from sin to become PRECIOUS before God (2 Cor 5:17; John 1:12;2 Tim 2:19-21; Acts 3:19).

Do not just be attending church, hiding and pretending to be a Christian, but be indeed a child of God by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour NOW through your confession of sins and plea for mercy unto forgiveness (Proverbs 28:13; John 1:8-9-9; Romans 10:9-11). Do not allow evil to be found in you, such as hatred, gossiping, lies, and p, which disqualify you from being precious to God; otherwise, you end up in hell or being taken away before your time (Rev 21:27).

We are precious to God because He bought us with a price and so glorify God in your body 1 Cor 6:19-20; Rev 5:9; 4:11.)

God sealed us with the Holy Spirit of promise (Eph 1:13). The seal of God on you will allow nobody or power to do you evil (Psalm 105: 12-15). The devil throws all evil things in your path to entice you,such that you fall away from grace. Brethren, please be watchful, prayerful and resist the devil always (1 Peter 5:8-9).
Benefits of Being Precious to God
- God will deliver you from all dangers (Isa 43:2; Psalm 121:3-8; Psalm 16:8)
- Some will die in your stead (Isa 43:4b;2 Peter 2:7-9)
- God will raise help for you through humans (Isa 43:4b; I Chronicles 12:19-22; Isa 50:7)
- God will deliver you from sudden death and pestilence (Psalm 91:1-3; Phil 2:25-28).
Conclusion
Be consistent in your walk with God in holiness, faithfulness and obedience. God will go to any extent to act for the good of any of His children because they are precious in His sight (2 Peter 2:9; Genesis 18:23-26).
