Day 1: The Cloud of His Glory

Exodus 24: 16, “Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.”

The glory of the lord in the Old Testament was represented and made visible by the appearance of clouds, smoke, and consuming fire. Whenever the Israelites saw any of those they knew that the glory of God had descended upon them.

The Lord instructed Moses to come up to Mount Sinai with the same other people. But only one can access His presence, the following day, Moses got up early to build an altar and offered the sacrifice of burnt offerings…. Approach the presence of God with a prepared heart and He will shine in your life in a way that it will be visible to all (Exodus 24: 15-18)

Day 2: Seeing aids remembrance

Exodus 28: 29, “Whenever Aaron enters the Holy Place, he will bear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breast piece of decision as a continuing memorial before the Lord”.

Still, on Mount Sinai, the Lord instructed Moses of many things which needed to be done and how to go about them, the way they should be done, how they would be used and what they would look like, an example of this is the breast piece.

The Lord instructed Moses that a breast piece must be made, which will be attached to the ephod and it must have four rows of precious stones on it…. All Christians have been called to stand in the gap for others, to help the helpless, to stand as a light to those in darkness, to provide for the needy around us, and to even intercede for our nation (Exodus 28: 26-30)

Day 3: Anointed for service

Exodus 29: 7-9, “Take the anointing oil and anoint him by pouring it on his head.”

The Lord instructed Moses to anoint Aaron by pouring anointing oil on his head. The anointing oil that was poured on his head signified his consecration, his purification,  that is, he has been set apart; he has been chosen out of many for a specific assignment….

The Lord has called you out of many others,; he has anointed you out of others to be a priest unto Him. How are living your life? Let us check this and go out today to act as a priest who has been anointed for service. God bless you as you go out today (Exodus 29: 7-9)

Day 4: Enduring till the end

Mathew 24: 13, “…but he who stands firm to the end will be saved”.

As Jesus Christ and his disciples were leaving the temple, a place of worship to God, a place of prayer, a place where they have gone to listen to what the scripture says, walking away, His disciples called His attention to the magnificent buildings that surround the area.

They wanted to know what their portion would be on earth after following him. Jesus replied that a time was coming when all those buildings would be completely demolished. Jesus made them understand that all they were calling his attention to were nothing but ephemeral things….

You might have been facing your persecution now for the sake of Christ, do not think of going back on the faith you have professed (Mathew 24: 9-134)

Day 5: Rest, by His presence

Exodus 33: 14, “The Lord replied, My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Rest means freedom from work, strain, or responsibility. The verse 14 of today’s scripture tells us the affirmation, the promise, and the covenant of God for the Israelites that His presence will go with them and He will delight and they were also known for the disobedient…. What sin are you committing that has hindered the presence of God from being with you, backing you up, and supporting you? (Exodus 33: 13-15)

Day 6: The unfailing word

Mathew 24:35, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away”.

On Mount Olive, Jesus Christ was telling His disciples what would be the signs of the end time. He told them that the elects would be gathered. Those that have surrendered their totality to Christ, those that have kept his commands vs 35 says, “Heaven and earth will pass away but his words will never pass away…. I Thessalonians 4: 16-17 mentions what will be the portion of abiding in the unfailing word. Strife to partake in His unfailing word. Remain reputable! (Mathew 24: 30-35).

Day 7: Unprofitable servant

Mathew 25: 29, “For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him”.

The parable of the talent is one of the most famous parables of Jesus Christ on earth. The parable is known to be an earthly story that has a heavenly meaning. Everybody has been particularly for the propagation of the gospel. We are all given different gifts from heaven according to our ability to use them for the expansion of God’s kingdom, to bring more flocks into His fold, and to lead many to Christ….

Many have done like the unprofitable servant who buried his talent, check your life today and have a rethink so that you will not end up in the darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth but you will yield interest in God’s kingdom. Stay blessed as you do so! (Mathew 25: 24-29).

Day 8: Inheritors of the kingdom

Mathew 25: 34, “Then the King will say to those in his right, Come you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom…”.

The scripture made us understand that when all the nations are gathered before the son of man there will be two categories of people using the illustration of sheep and goats. Jesus said the sheep would be at his right and the goats at his left…. Being a believer does not qualify you to be among the sheep that are referred to in the scripture. After being a believer you need to exhibit Godly characteristics like meekness and not a person that takes offence in everything (Mathew 25: 32-36).

Day 9: You will be remembered for what you have done

Mathew 26: 13, “I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her”.

In the churches of God today, many people reasoned like the disciples when they see someone giving out a huge amount to the work of God or even to the minister God has been using for them they start to say all sorts of things like the person is a waster; the money could be used to tie down a big project…. Always ask for the grace to be sensitive to God’s leading and for the grace to carry out His instructions (Mathew 26: 7-13).

Day 10: I will go before you

Mathew 26: 32, “But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee”.

After Jesus Christ had eaten the last the last supper with the twelve he said his farewell speech to them. After they had all gone to the Mount of Olives. Jesus Christ predicted his death to the disciples and his resurrection. Jesus Christ said to His disciples that after he had risen, he would go ahead of them into Galilee”. …

Jesus promised to go ahead of His disciples to Galilee be sure that after your period of trials, He had already prepared you a place of celebration and the place where you will experience joy that will last forever because he had already gone ahead of you (Mathew 26: 30-32 (Mathew 26: 30-32).

Day 11: Jesus, the son of God

Mathew 26: 64, “Yes, it is as you say, Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you, I the future you will see the Son of…”

The High Priest came up with a question asking him if he is the Messiah,  the son of God and Jesus Christ attested to the question that truly he is the son of God (vs 63-64)…. Whenever you are faced with the challenges of life, when you are passing through persecution, always know with you that a seat is reserved for you at the right hand of the mighty one (Mathew 26: 62-65).

Day 12: Enjoying God’s glory through obedience

Leviticus 9: 6, “Then, Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded you to do, so that the glory of the Lord may appear to you”.

After Aaron and his sons have been ordained priest of the Lord by Moses before the entire assembly of Israel. Moses summoned Aaron, his sons, and the elders of Israel to administer what they needed to do before they could commence their priestly duties; they obeyed the commands Moses had given them wholeheartedly…. This submission will enhance our obedience to God’s instructions through them and we will share in God’s glory in your life (Leviticus 9: 1-6).

Day 13: The strange fire on the altar

Leviticus 10: 3, “Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke of ….”

Aaron and Abibu were ordained with their father as priests and they followed God wholeheartedly. At times, they also took their instructions of God lightly and offered unauthorized fire before the Lord…. As Christians, we need to be careful of committing the same error. While we move closer to God we must also reference Him for whom He is (Leviticus 10: 1-3)

Day 14: No more barriers

Mathew 27: 51, “At that moment, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom…”

There is a curtain demarcation between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. This stands as a barrier between God and humanity. It is only the High Priest that can access the place and he is restricted to a particular day in a year because it is the Most Holy Place where the presence of the Lord dwells.

At the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary, the curtain that separates the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place was torn in two from top to bottom…. We now have free access to the throne of grace and the one sitting on it through the death of our master Jesus Christ (Mathew 28: 16-18.
