Day 1: The Remembered Covenant

Read Luke 1: 72-75.

The coming of the Messiah is a testimony to the faithfulness of God to His promises. Right from very early in creation, from when men fell and the first hint of the Messiah was given as the seed of the woman who shall crush the head of the serpent, all through the ages, the prophets had always pointed to a Messiah who shall come to redeem the people.

My Brother, God in His mercy kept to His promise, so that man would be free from the tyranny of human nature. Man’s greatest enemy is the within. It is only when this enemy is crushed to death that man can be free to serve God in holiness and righteousness. Do you wonder why you keep struggling to please God? The Bible says without holiness, no man can please God (Hebrews 12:14).

Prayer

As you go to the Lord in prayer, ask God to remember His covenant over your family, and use this grace of the Christmas season to receive them all in Jesus’ Name.

Day 2: The Divine Agenda

Read Luke 2:1-3.

When God plans to do anything to fulfil His purpose, He can use any man as His instrument or anyway as his method. When He planned to make Joseph king, He used his jealous brother to sell him as a slave to Egypt.

The prophecy had it that the Messiah would come from Bethlehem in Judea. When the time approached for the virgin birth to take place and the woman was still in Nazareth, God had to use Caesar Augustus to make a decree that would compel her to move to the place of the prophetic destiny.

Beloved, it is ignorance that is making you fret about how things happen around you that change your plans when you are asked to do things that were not in your original agenda; God might be working around your life to bring you to your prophetic destiny.

Resign your life into God’s hands and let Him do what He wants to do with you. (Jeremiah 29:11). His divine agenda will come to pass in your life in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer

I come against every enchantment and divination against me and my family in the name of Jesus.

Day 3: The Fulfillment of Prophecy

Read Luke 2: 4-7.

Joseph and Mary lived in Nazareth in the district of Galilee when the decrees of the emperor went out. He had to travel back to Bethlehem because he was of the lineage of David. He had to tell Mary his wife espoused wife with him and she was heavy with pregnancy while they were in Bethlehem, and the time for her to deliver the baby came. The master of the universe was born in a manger. This is a great fulfilment.

My Brethren, learn meekness and understand that the Luxury and materials of this world don’t make a man. The person who would fit into the agenda of God would not be a man who is taken in by lust for those temporal materials. As you go to the Lord in prayer, I decree that the divine word of God shall be fulfilled over your life in Jesus’ Name. God bless you.

Prayer

I frustrate every counsel of the enemy against this nation in the name of Jesus.

Day 4: The Message for the Shepherds

Read Luke 2:8-12.

In Israel at the time Jesus was born, it was the custom of the shepherds to stay out with their sheep in the night. An angel of God appeared; the angels bear the glory of God and the reflection of that glory shown around them.

The angels came to deliver the message to the shepherds who were free to tell all men that the baby was born for them. They should go and see the baby. The sign is that they shall see a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manner.

Brethren, the same message is for you to go and tell the whole world that Messiah, the Anointed, the one who accepted to deliver the lost world(John 3:16).

The one who was given the Holy Spirit without measure to be prophet, priest, and king. He is the Lord of Lords, the master of the universe. People of God, use this season to tell the dying world about this Jesus.

Prayer

Lord, I declare accident-free journeys for travellers today in the name of Jesus.

Day 5: The Accomplishment of the Legal Requirement

Read Luke 2:27.

From God’s relationship with the Israelites and Moses, it is obvious that God placed so much value on the firstborn, either man or animal. He simply killed all firstborns in Egypt when He brought the Israelites out of Egypt, the demands that all the firstborns of Israel, ever of man or animal, must be declared holy unto the Lord.

It is therefore not a coincidence that Jesus was given birth to as the firstborn. The dedication of Jesus was not of man’s idea or result of preference to issues surrounding His birth but that it was God’s commandment. These commandments were, however, properly obeyed.

Beloved, no matter how big the revelation a man receives about Jesus, he is not qualified to present Jesus until he is willing to go through the process of purification and obedience to God’s word. My Brother total obedience is required from you do not take the grace of God for granted.

Prayer

Oh Lord, give me total obedience that will make the grace of God to be manifest in my life from today in the name of Jesus.

Day 6: The Fulfillment of a Generation

Read Luke 2:30-18.

Anna whose name means “grace” was a godly window of great age. Anna devoted herself to serving God by worship” through tasting and prayers She moved from the tribe of Asher and remained in the temple waiting for the appearance of God’s promised Messiah.

As Simeon was praising the Lord for the child Jesus, Anna joined in the song! But Anna did much more than sing She also spread the God’s News among the other faithful, members of the remnant who were waiting for the redemption of Israel.

My sister, what was said about Anna’s devotion could that be said about your life? Your devotion is to material things or things of eternal value? It was said of Anna that she worshipped God night and day. Please increase your commitment unto God and God Himself will take good care of you.

Prayer

Ask for the Grace of this season to be more devoted to Christ.

Day 7: The Clarion Call

Read Isaiah 52:1-2.

As we are moving to the end of the year; a clarion call is made by God to you as you slumber away in spiritual drowsiness, in lack of exercise of grace, in your laziness at your duty post as a Christian, and your total indifference about the truth and the ordinances of the gospel of Christ. God is speaking quite vehemently Awake! Awake.

Beloved, God is calling on you today to wake up and go back to Him in prayer on your knees. Let the whole counsel of God through His word be declared always and let the spirit of God take control of all things.

Let the Church too arise now and put on her strength in the spirit to pull the devil’s kingdom down. (Ephesians 6:12). Let God use you to bring the fire of revival into His Church as we move to the New Year in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer

Oh, use me more to bring revival fire into the church as I am entering to the New month in the name of Jesus.

Day 8: The Glorious Celebration

Read Isaiah 52:9-10.

God promised to comfort His people in every area of their lives. He promises to do this with His ever-abiding presence, His love, and His joy of salvation through Christ, the greater comforter. At the ascension, the Lord promised to send the Holy Spirit, the comforter to His disciples and as many as will believe in Him. Believers are meant to walk in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth.

Beloved, it is the Holy Spirit that is indwelling in you that will teach you how and what to pray for and also grants unto you the grace to worship Him in Spirit and truth. Be not deceived, your life is what it is because of the absence of the Holy Spirit of God. Why not turn your life over to Him today and be taught the deep things of God?

Prayer

Lord Jesus, give me the comfort you promised me and not let the devil deprive me of my right blessing in you in the name of Jesus.
