Day 1: Endurance

Read 1 Pet.2:20-21,3:9,2 Thes.2:13

You can be blessed with the spirit of endurance. Have you ever met people who are not blessed with enduring spirit? They get easily irritated.

In Christ, you have the privilege to receive the ability to endure. This benefit will help you to become a better person professionally and socially.

You will be able to finish your life projects and become a seasoned child of God persecution can separate you from the love of Jesus Christ. You will not easily drop off from the kingdom race.

You will be bold in your faith and not a hypocrite. However, this benefit comes from training. God will take you through several steps until your endurance improves.

As physical muscle gets strengthened through endurance that is how your spirit man and faith will get strengthened as you endure hardship. Receive grace in Christ to endure suffering without falling out of favour with God.

Prayers

When you do good and suffer for it you endure, This a gracious thing in the sight of God…1Peter 2:20-21

Almighty God, Give me grace to follow the examples of Jesus Christ who suffered without backing out of His purpose to glorify You.

I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus…2Timothy 2:10 (ESV)

People like Apostle Paul endured hardship, Father please help me also as You helped them.

He will repay each one according to his works: eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, Romans 2:6-8(HCSB).

Father, please help me to persist in obeying on this narrow road.

Day 2: Glorification

Read 1 Cor. 15:20-23,1 John 3:2,Rom.8:29,Phil.3:21

You will be like the glorified Christ at the end of the age. Jesus’ body became full of glory after His death. He ascended into heaven in the full glare of His disciples. Please this truth, Jesus truly died, resurrected, and ascended to heaven in a glorified body, Acts 1:9-11(ESV)

Our benefit is that since Jesus’ body did not become corrupted we shall also receive a new glorified body when we die. It will be very unfortunate for those who reject the death of Christ.

Their body shall remain corrupted with maggots and worms, The Bible says in Philippians 3:21(GW)Through his power to bring everything under his authority, he will change our humble bodies and make them like his glorified body.

Therefore, the Brethren accept the death and resurrection of Jesus. He has packaged glory for you (2Th2:14; 1 Peter 5:10, Romans 9:23, John 17:22,2Cor 3:18).

No matter the afflictions that Christians are passing through now, the future glorification should empower you not to backslide:2Cor 4:17, Rom 8:18

Prayer

ICorinthians 15:40-49 (ESV)…So is it with the resurrection of the dead? What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit…..The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.

Father Lord, please help me to accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I pray my body shall not be condemned to death and decay. O Jesus, glorify my body as Yours on the judgment day.

Day 3: Justification

Read Rom.4:25,5:16-18

The death and resurrection of Jesus grant us the benefit of being justified before God. How can a human being be justified before the holy God? Human beings are sinners. No matter how many religious tenets you keep you cannot score 100%.

Meanwhile, 99% will not enter Godspresence. The remaining 1% of sin will disqualify you from God. He needs 100% holiness to justify your presence in His heaver. This is a great demand indeed. Jesus came to clean you up and exchange His holy life with your sinful life.

He has already paid the price for a sin he did not commit. He was made a curse (all those who die on a tree are regarded as cursed) so that you can be saved.

So your justification is in the fact that Jesus died for your sin and took away your deficiencies. Your justification is that the Jesus who now lives in you is sinless and has permanent residency in heaven with the Father. He has met all prerequisites. That is the person whose passport you now carry.

Prayers

Romans 4:25(GW) Jesus… was handed over to death because of our failures and was brought back to life so that we could receive God’s approval.

  • Help me oh Lord to fully understand and appreciate the justification and approval, that I receive from God because of Jesus’ resurrection.
  • Father let this justification breed devotion and obedience in me.

Romans 5:16-18 (ESV)… For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the gift following many trespasses brought justification….I accept your gift oh Jesus. The trespass of Adam condemned me but your death and resurrection justified me.

  • I am now set free from the consequences of the sin of Adam, the sin of my forefathers, and my sins.

Day 4: Reconciliation

Read 2 Cor. 5:18-19. Romans 5:11, Col. 1:21-22

Christ’s works reconcile us God with whom our ancestors(starting from Adam and Eve joke covenant through sin. Every sinner is an enemy of God. However, Jesus has reconciled us back to God.

If you have a relationship with the president of your nation, you will surely rejoice. Can you now imagine the benefit of having a reconciled relationship with God the King of Kings? Jesus is the only One who can reconcile you to God.

He is the bridge. No one crosses to the Father except through Him. (Romans 5:11). Your good work cannot do it. Your morality and good character cannot do it.

Furthermore, you have the benefit of becoming an agent of reconciling others to Christ(2 Cor. 5:18-19). You will be highly rewarded in heaven if you reconcile lost souls back to Christ.

Prayers

Romans 5:11(ESV) More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

  • My Lord Jesus, I receive your ministry of reconciliation. Please, reconcile me to yourself by the power of your blood.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (ESV)All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself.

  • Father, make me a reconciler and help me to deliver your message of reconciliation. Empower your channel of reconciling other people with yourself.

Day 5: Redemption

Read Mark 10:45, Heb.2:15, Col.1:13, Gal 4:4-5; Romans 3:24-26; Ephesians 1:7;1 Peter 1:18-19

As a sinner, you are a slave of sin but Jesus has come to redeem you. You are condemned by the law of God and the scriptures. You are thereby susceptible to judgment, condemnation, spiritual death, and hellfire.

In this condition, you cannot be a child of God nor inherit His kingdom. However, Jesus has redeemed you from the curse of law. You are no longer under the curse of Law. (Gal 4:4-5). You are a son and no longer a slave.

He has made Himself a ransom for your life(Mark 10:45). He has come to help you out of the great mess, which awaits sinners. Jesus destroyed the author of sin, the devil, and his works (Heb. 2:15). He practically delivered us from the domain of darkness Col. 1:13

Prayers

Hebrews 2:14-16 (ESV) Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death Surely, it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.

  • Father, I need your help today. Please help me. Redeem my body from sin, my will from flesh dictates, and my soul from perdition. 1 Peter 1:18-19(ESV) knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ
  • Thank you for redeeming me with your precious blood.

Date 6: Sanctification

Read 1 Cor.6:11,2 Cor.3:18

Christ offers you the benefit of being made whole, sanctified, and cleansed up by the power of Christ. Sanctification means being made and kept whole, consecrated, and set apart through the spiritual work of the word of God and the Holy Spirit.

As you give your life to Christ the invisible power of the Holy Spirit enters you and sanctifies you. Your heart is circumcised and you can identify and hate sin like never before. You feel different. You know God now owns you. So, sin is no longer your natural default.

Note that unless your heart is sanctified you cannot be free from sin other legalism can free you from sin. Meanwhile, as long as you are not sanctified you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.

Prayer

1 Corinthians 6:11 (ESV)And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

  • Lord Jesus, thank you for washing me, sanctifying me, justifying me by your Spirit.
  • In Jesus’ name, I turn from darkness to Light, Receive forgiveness and I am set free from the oppression of Satan I am sanctified with other believers.
