To God be the glory for another opportunity to be part of the sixth-night vigil in the year 2020. God in His infinite and tender mercies has been and is sustaining us by turning the threat of COVID-19 into a great platform for experiencing God’s goodness.

He made us unstoppable by Covid-19 and other threats to our faith from the pit of hell. Hallelujah to the King of kings and our Almighty Father! God bless you. Read related posts on our prayer page of the site.

Introduction

Anything DIVINE is beyond natural, human comprehension or apprehension. It is Extraordinary, Supernatural, Great and Marvelous, Pleasant and Enjoyable for it has to do with the Almighty God. Such is the issue of divine visitation for good. God visits! Right from the beginning God visited Adam and Eve for various reasons such as fellowshipping since He saw them as friends (Genesis 3:8-10).

God still visits men even now. God’s visitation is a means of expressing His power and greatness over issues. However, God’s visitation can either be for good or for bad depending on what facilitated the visit and will surely pay you back according to your deeds (Galatians 6:7).

Meditation 1

Wherever ‘Good’ is mentioned in the Holy Bible it is referring to anything, it is mostly meant for man or woman. Genesis 1:31…And God saw everything that He made, and behold it was VERY GOOD.

No man wants to be average in life, but to bring forth or produce “Good things”. All things created by God had the tag “IT WAS GOOD”(Genesis. 1:10, 18, 21, 25). Friends, settle for nothing else tonight, but the fullness of God’s goodness in ALL.

The act of disobedience to God by man in the Garden of Eden attracted negative consequences from God’s visitation (Gen 3:8-24). This marked the beginning of bad occurrences. Likewise the sins of Cain (Gen 4:3-7) and the city of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 18:20-22).

Meditation 2

Read Gen.21:1-8, II King 4:11-17, and Luke 1:8-17. Abraham and Sarah (Gen 18:1-17; Gen 21:1), and the Shunemmite woman (2 Kings 4:8-17) attracted divine visitation for good through hospitality. Faithfulness and commitment to God’s service could probably be some of the reasons for God’s visitation for good in the lives of Zechariah and Elizabeth(Luke 1:5-13).

You can equally invite God for a visitation for good like Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10). Our Lord Jesus Christ came in the flesh to the world and visited many places and lives turning bad to good always (Acts 10:38) and commissioned us to do likewise and more (John 14:12).

Meditation 3

He could visit you by Himself(Mark 1:29-31; John 5:1-9), sending His angels (Luke 1:11-13;26-30; Acts 10:1-3), His servants (1 kings 17:8-16; Acts 10:25-27)and more diverse ways. Brethren, God has decided to visit you for good this night and He will fill your mouth with the testimony of “It was very good” in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer: Father, cause me and my household to experience your goodness in every aspect of our lives just as in the beginning as you visit us for good this night in Jesus’ Name.

Meditation 4

When God visits for good:

(i.) Bareness or delay gives way to fruitfulness (Gen 21:1-6, Luke 1:5-13; 1:26-36), Elizabeth got married like all other women, lived her life, and expected fruit of the womb like all other women but was barren Luke 1:36b.

She had a divine visitation for good from her Creator and her fulltime came and she had a son (Luke 1:57). So likewise Sarah and Abraham, God did it, yours will be made possible In Jesus’ Name.

Section 1

(ii) Revelation of secrets (Gen 18:17-20; Deut 29:29);

(iii) Great rejoicing or celebration (Gen 21:7-8; Luke 1:58);

(iv) Leaping for joy (Luke 1:40-44);

(v) New songs of victory (Luke 1:46-55);

(vi) Impossibilities become possibilities (Gen 18:13-14; 21:5-7; Luke 1:34-37);

(vii) Performance of God’s words and promises (Luke 1:38, 45,57; Gen 21:1-3);

Section 2

(viii) Healing (John 5:1-9; Mark 1:29-31; Isaiah 58:8);

(ix) Laughter becomes your portion (Gen 21:6);

(x) Provision and Abundance in flesh and spirit (Ruth 1:6;

(xi) Reproaches are rolled away (Luke 1:24-25, 36; Ruth 1:6);

(xii) New name and new beginning (Luke 1:36);

Section 3

(xiii), Good news comes your way and will be shared about you (Luke 1:11-17;26-33,58,64-66);

(xiv) Fear gives way to faith (2 Tim 1:7; Luke 1:12-13; 29-30) and you enjoy divine favour (Luke 1:26-30)-Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ had an unexpected divine visitation unexpected… (Lk. 1:29-30)……”What manner of salutation this should be” and the angel said to her “Fear not…… for thou has found favour with God”. Tonight there shall be a divine visitation upon your life for good in Jesus’ name.

(xv) Protection (Psalm 91:1)

(xvi) Total victory (Romans 8:37)

Section 4

(xvii) Salvation- Romans 2: 4…God’s goodness leads unto Salvation and Repentance. Only through Christ Jesus can this be gotten and it is the best of whatever visitation a man should receive from God.

A man called Zacchaeus who had been living an average life (self-righteousness) Luke 19:8 had a divine visitation for good as he had a Salvation experience Luke 19:9.

He was no more the same Zacheaus, a REPUBLICAN, but Zacheaus, a SAVEDMAN. For you to receive the best of His goodness: first of all to experience this salvation.

All these and more will God do when He visits you for good provided you are on God’s side (Eph 3:20). Strive to live for God in your words and deeds is to attract the visitation of the Most High for good this night and for the rest of your life.

Hindrances to Divine Visitation

Lukewarmness in the spirit… Zacchaeus made haste: threw what would disturb him away, came down from the tree, and received Christ joyfully. When you are in the wrong place or with the wrong people, Abraham could not get eternal blessing, not until Lot was separated from him (Genesis 13:14-18). Run away from the bad group (Psalm 1:1;2 Corinth 6:14-17).

Hold not unto your past and relieve yourself of grievances (In a nutshell forgive others) (Matt 6:14-15). Joseph forgot the past bitter experiences meted unto him by his brothers; he forgave them and God of divine visitation met him for good (Gen.45:8-16).

As you expect God’s Visitation for Good,

  • Wait for Him. He is good, He will visit you (Lam.3:25; Habbk.2:3).
  • Do good and think good always (Gal 6:10)
  • Always be in His presence Psalm 16:11
  • Be hopeful and expectant

Mark 5:25-29…A woman with the issue of blood for 12 years had a divine visitation for good and the issue got dried up. I don’t want to know what ISSUES you are carrying about with the number of years, or that people have tagged you with a visitation of God tonight shall deal with them.

Be it an issue of bad luck, it shall be good luck. Be it an issue of lack of a good thing, it shall be the celebration of a good thing. Be it an issue of reoccurrence and sadness and tears, it shall be laughter and joy immeasurable. Be it a long-time ailment, there shall be instant healing in Jesus’ name. Just Believe
