Have you ever been robbed, arrested, kidnapped, or threatened with being killed, with an option of paying a ransom? Have you been oppressed by a boss, relative, or someone who is more financially blessed than you? How did you feel and what steps did you take to solve the problem?

It is most likely that some people will opt for relocation, report the case to the police for assistance, change their jobs, or fortify their houses to make them more secure. Nevertheless, the situation can be devastating, frightening, frustrating, and intimidating, especially when there is no immediate solution. Read further posts on our prayer page of the site.

Introduction

When the Israelites were faced with a threat from Goliath, the Philistine, they were overwhelmed with fear and anxiety until David delivered them by killing Goliath (1 Samuel 17:1ff). Similarly, Jerusalem appeared to be a doomed city, during the dark days of Assyria’s siege.

They became frightened and lost hope but two things happened: a great plague struck the Assyrians and the Assyrian leader was murdered, thereby putting an end to their threat (2 Kings 19:35). The miraculous deliverance convinced some Jews that Jerusalem, God’s city, could not be destroyed, no matter how powerful the enemy nation.

Meditation

When King Hezekiah received a letter of threat from Sennacherib, he took it to God in prayer. (2 Kings 19:14-21,35-37). He went to the temple and spread the letter of threat before the Lord. He worshipped the Lord and made his petition known to the Maker of the heavens and the earth.

Today’s lesson centres on the efficacy of Hezekiah’s prayer, God’s deliverance of the people, and restoration. The following prayers will terminate the work of witches and wizards and other agents of darkness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Prayers against Witchcraft from Galatians 5:19-20

1. Almighty God, destroy the acts of witchcraft affecting me and all that concern me in the name of Jesus Christ.  The acts of the flesh including obvious sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery shall be destroyed today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

2. Father, every power of idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, and factions that want to ruin my life shall be ruined from today in the name of Jesus Christ.

3. Almighty God, Every darkness that is tempting me through all these and fighting me through all these: idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions shall go to exile in the name of Jesus Christ.

4. Lord Jesus, I speak against the practices of envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like in the name of Jesus Christ. These practices will not destroy my life in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayers against Witchcraft from Acts 19:9-19 

5. Lord Jesus, every power of darkness and men of darkness who practised sorcery shall be dealt with in the name of Jesus Christ.

6. Lord, use Your Great Power of God to put witchcraft to shame on me and all that concerns me in the name of Jesus Christ.

7. My Father, those standing using sorcery to attack me and my family shall be dealt with from today in the name of Jesus Christ.

8. Eternal Rock of Ages, The Bible says, “When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor.” Oh, God, let Your name of honoured in my life in the name of Jesus Christ.

9. My warrior in the battle, disgrace openly all the work witchcraft in my life from this moment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and let all witches and wizards confess their wicked acts in the name of Jesus Christ.

10. Almighty God, burn every practice of sorcery publicly. Their witchcraft and work will not be active again from today in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayers against Witchcraft from Deuteronomy 18:10-14

11. The Bible says, “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft.” I stand against those who are carrying rituals and sacrifices because of me that they should not succeed in the name of Jesus Christ.

12. Lord, every spell, cast, or spiritual medium or spiritist or spiritual consults of the dead because of me and all that concerns me shall perish without any amends in the name of Jesus Christ.

13. Everlasting Father, the Bible says, “Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you.”  Any society and community practising witchcraft affecting the masses shall perish in the name of Jesus Christ.

14. God of wonder, all the darkness practising witchcraft must be blameless before the LORD from this moment in the name of Jesus Christ.

15. You who practice sorcery or divination because of my achievements, success, accomplishment, and the like. You will face the wrath of the Lord today in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayers against witchcraft from Isaiah 8:19-22; 47: 8-14

16. Almighty God, the Bible says, “…listen to you a lover of pleasure, lounging in your security and saying to yourself, ‘I am, and there is none besides me. I will never be a widow or suffer the loss of children.” From today, none of my children will die at the hands of witchcraft in the name of Jesus Christ.

17. The Bible says, “… on a single day, loss of children and widowhood. They will come upon you in full measure, despite your many sorceries and all your potent spells.” I say it as the child of authority that loss of children and properties will not happen to me and all that concerns me in the name of Jesus Christ.

18. Gracious Lord, no power of wickedness will be rendered useless and powerless in the name of Jesus Christ. My family members and I will not be a victim of witchcraft.

19. My God, no disaster of witchcraft will come upon me and all that concerns me today in the name of Jesus Christ, and I will not know how to conjure it away. No calamity will fall upon me that I cannot be a product of ransom in the special name of Jesus Christ. But a catastrophe cannot foresee will suddenly come upon all my enemies using witchcraft upon my life in the name of Jesus Christ.

20.  The Bible says, “… with your magic spells and with your many sorceries, which you have laboured at since childhood. Perhaps you will succeed, perhaps you will cause terror.” All the voices speaking negative utterances to my peace arrogantly will perish suddenly in the name of Jesus Christ.

21. Oh God, I pray that all the counsels of witchcraft will perish from now on in the name of Jesus Christ. Their power will be worn out in the name of Jesus Christ.

22. The Bible says, … “They are like stubble; the fire will burn them. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame…”

23. The Bible says, “… who whisper and mutter, should not be a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?” Oh Lord, give me victory over the enemies and darkness in the name of Jesus Christ. Nullify the power of witchcraft from today in the name of Jesus Christ.

24. The Bible says, “…if anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.” I speak according to the word that no evil of witchcraft will befall you in the name of Jesus Christ.

25. God, curse all powers of witchcraft that are causing demotion in the name of Jesus Christ.

26. Every distress and darkness and fearful gloom will be scattered today and forevermore in the name of Jesus Christ. No power of witchcraft will overcome us in the name of Jesus Christ.
