Teacher Giving Lesson and Children Raising Their Hands

When we are raising our kids, it is very important that we guide them with love and discipline. The Bible says that discipline is a part of raising godly children. We should provide our kids with this guidance consistently and with love.

We should not be afraid to correct our kids. Instead, we should do it with patience and a genuine desire to see them become people. When we discipline our kids, we help them develop character and teach them important values. We are supposed to show God’s love through our actions as we direct our kids towards doing what is right.

Teaching Our Kids Important Values

Raising Godly Children Through Example

Teaching our kids values is one of the important things we can do as parents. This means sharinGod’sds Word with them and showing them our faith. Our goal is to help our kids love God’s commandments and the wisdom of Jesus Christ. We can do this by reading the Bible, le singing worship songs, and talking about God’s love every day.

When we make it a priority to teach our kids about God’s character and principles, les we help them build a moral foundation.

Being a Good Example

As we try to raise our childrenwe know that being an example is very important. Our kids watch us all the time. They often copy what we do. By living a life that shows the love, kindness and teachings of Jesus, we give them someone to look up to.

Our behavior whether it is what we say or what we do,,o sends a message about how important faith is. We are supposed to be a guiding light in our home, es helping our kids see Jesus through our love and kindness.

The Story

I closed my office door. Broke down in tears. I could not hold back my emotions after visiting the hostel, which is now too crowded.

Every girl in our care is under 25 years old. Some are as young as 12 years old. What hurts me more is that none of these girwasre rescued from the streets.

Each one was brought in by their parents. When we checked their bags at both the girls’ and boys’ hostels,s we found things that suggest they are struggling with addiction, rebellion and deep emotional pain.

This is not a problem. This is a crisis.

Let us stop pretending that everything is okay. Let us stop ignoring what is happening.

Things are not going well with our people.

Today I read a report about a man who was expelled from Babcock University. He was a teenager who had a soap from a herbalist that cost ₦100,000. He borrowed ₦500,000. Got involved in selling drugs.

He did not come from a background. He was not a street child. He was a mannered boy from a comfortable family. What was he looking for?

What is happening with our people? Why are they in such a hurry to get rich?

What has become of work, integrity and dignity? Last week

Last week,,k we struggled to find a tiler for one of our projects. We had to hire one from Togo. Why?

Because our own young people are not willing to learn any skills.

They are not interested in going to school.

They want to get rich through “hookup”

They want to make money through “yahoo”

They prefer to do nothing but scroll through their phones, deceive people, and party. They want money quickly.

Let us be honest. Engaging in Yahoo or hookups is not possible without drugs or alcohol. They are connected.

My heart feels heavy. Are we just going to sit and watch this generation waste its potential?

Parents, it is time to wake up!

Where are you?

What is the reason for your silence?

What is the reason for your complacency?

Why are some of you financing this lifestyle?

Your child does not need a phone. They need purpose.

They do not need data. They need discipline.

They do not need “freedom”. They need boundaries.

We cannot keep blaming society, friends or influencers. The change must start at home.

Please let us start talking.

Let us check their bags.

Let us explore their hearts.

Let us reflect on ourselves.

To every parent reading this,s please be involved.

Your child does not just need your money; they need your time and voice.

Ask questions. Do not hesitate to dig even if it feels uncomfortable.

Teach values. Wealth is good. Wisdom, character and contentment are far better.

Be their haven. If you do not llisten then the world will. It will feed them lies.

Let us rise and advocate for the souls of our children. We may not be able to save everyone. We must not give up on those we can reach.

They are not the future. They are our present.

Let us not lose them.

When Parents Fail

There was a time when parents raised kids. Nowadays, parents raise kids. Things are different. There was a time when children respected their father’s discipline. Now children insult their fathers on media.

There was a moment when a slap from your mother could change your future. Now mothers watch their children dance for attention.

The world has changed. Not because of evil. Because parents have become weaker. Children now lack boundaries. They have no fear. No respect. No discipline.

What is the outcome? A generation that mocks God idolises vanity. Embraces sin with pride.
